Our homemade taco seasoning recipe is also sugar-free and gluten-free so perfect for those on the Paleo and Whole30 diet.

This Low Carb Taco Seasoning Recipe can easily be adjusted to your taste buds. It’s cheaper than any store bought keto taco seasoning mix and tastier too! Want it spicer? Add more cayenne pepper. Out of onion powder? Double up on garlic powder! Only have smoked paprika and not regular? Add it instead!

An added bonus, it’s also a sugar free taco seasoning mix! You don’t have to worry about any sneaky sugar being added to your diet, the way you do with store bought taco seasoning mix!

What is Keto Taco Seasoning Made Of?

Most keto taco seasoning recipes are made with basic spices found in your cupboard. I applaud any simple recipe that doesn’t have me running to the store for hard to find ingredients!

How Many Carbs In Taco Seasoning?

Spices and seasonings are not zero carb and do have some carbs in them. However, 1 TBSP of our Keto Taco Seasoning is just 2 net carbs.  Remember, you aren’t eating Keto Taco Seasonings as a snack by the spoonful, but adding it to an entire meal. So, adding a few tablespoons of low carb taco seasoning to an entire meal, usually adds less than 1 carb per serving max.

How Much Keto Taco Seasoning Do You Use?

Add 2-3 TBSP of Keto Taco Seasoning to 1 lb. of your preferred meat. If you are adding it to ground beef, turkey, or chicken; cook the meat until done, drain the meat, add 2-3 TBSP (depending on taste preference) & 1/2 cup of water. Stir & cook over medium heat until water has cooked off and spices are melded into the meat. Get that meat added to your favorite Keto Taco recipes and you will be in heaven!

How To Store Taco Seasoning?

Add your sugar free taco seasoning to an air tight plastic container, glass jar or ziplock bag. You can store & use your keto taco seasoning mix for up to a year. We love to double, triple, or even quadruple the recipe so we always have it on hand.

Ingredients

  • 4 TBSP Chili Powder
  • 2 TBSP Cumin
  • 1 TBSP Garlic Powder
  • 1 TBSP Onion Powder
  • 1/2 TBSP Paprika
  • 1/2 TBSP Sea Salt
  • 2 tsp Oregano
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper

Instructions

  • Measure out ingredients into small bowl.
  • Stir until all seasonings are mixed together.
